First episode of Stephen Curry’s “Mr. Throwback” airs on NBC

NBC will hit the basketball court next month with an exclusive broadcast presentation of Mr ThrowbackAs the broadcaster announced today, the pilot episode of “.com” will be released.

In the form of a OfficeIn the Peacock original series (watch all six episodes here), NBA All-Star Stephen Curry plays a fictional version of himself who reunites with a middle school classmate named Danny Grossman (Sonic the Hedgehog(by Adam Pally) Danny, now a memorabilia dealer, has fallen on hard times and needs the help of his old teammate.

“For us, it seemed more interesting to look at the background, what happens when he is not on the pitch, who are the people around him when he is not on the pitch, who is his team?” Matthew Libman, who is working on the project with his colleague Happy endings Alumni, David Caspe and Daniel Libman – explained in an interview with NBC Insider. “And becoming part of his team seemed like the best opportunity to generate more story. So we tried to address that, but still be aware of who he is and what he does for a living.”

Since its debut on Peacock this month, the show has received widespread praise from critics and currently holds an 82% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Ego Nwodim (Saturday Night Live) and Adyen Mayeri (Kill it) round out the cast. Recurring guest stars include Tracy Letts (Ford vs Ferrari), Layla Scalisi (When sharks attack), Tien Tran (Candyman) and Rich Sommers (GLOW).

When will Steph Curry’s Mr Throwback broadcast on NBC?

The first episode of Mr Throwback will be broadcast for the first time on NBC Thursday, September 12, 9:00 p.m. ET.

How to watch Mr Throwback At the moment

All six episodes of Mr Throwback are now streaming exclusively on Peacock. Wet hot American summer Director David Wain directed the entire season and serves as executive producer along with Curry, Pally, Caspe, the Libmans and Erick Peyton.
