As high school students, the two wrote letters, put them in a time capsule and buried it at school. Now, as adults, they took it out to read the contents. The two also noticed that their friend Jeong Mo-Eum’s (Kim Ji-Eun) letter was missing.

Bae Seok-Ryu helps Choi Seung-Hyo with a project

The two friends reflected on their letters. While Seok-Ryu looked for a clue that would help her find her way forward, Seung-Hyo tried to deny that he had feelings for her at the moment. The next day, Seok-Ryu accompanied Seung-Hyo to his office to get a free coffee. However, it turned out to be an interesting development.

Seung-Hyo’s co-founder Yoon Myung-Woo informed her about Seok-Ryu’s former office, Greip, which contacted her about a project. They had asked Seung-Hyo’s company and their competitor for a presentation from which they would choose one to proceed with the construction of a new office in Seoul. Since Seok-Ryu had previously worked for Greip, she informed her about the company’s standards.

Myung-Woo asked Seok-Ryu if she could help them negotiate with the company. Although she was reluctant at first, she agreed to help her friend. In the meantime, her parents became friends. At the store, Mo-Eum met Kang Dan-Ho (Yoon Ji-On) again as they agreed on their similar preferences and also met Seok-Ryu and Seung-Hyo. He said he had seen Seok-Ryu before.

Seok-Ryu discovers something strange about Greip

At night, Seok-Ryu, Seung-Hyo and Mo-Eum were heading home when the latter revealed that she had already read the letters in the time capsule the same night they buried it at school. Seung-Hyo worriedly wondered if Mo-Eum knew about his feelings for Seok-Ryu. However, Mo-Eum said that she couldn’t remember much from his letter.

The next morning, Seok-Ryu helped Seung-Hyo and Myung-Woo arrange a phone call with Greip. However, even after the phone call, Seok-Ryu overheard the team at Greip discussing their plans, which worried her. She told Seung-Hyo that Greip planned to continue with the other company since Seung-Hyo’s company had no proven track record. However, Seung-Hyo stated that he was acting on official orders, would continue to work hard, and do his best. This led to an argument between the two.

Meanwhile, Mo-Eum met a child in the park and told Seok-Ryu about the experience. When Seung-Hyo saw in the office that Myung-Woo was excited about the project, he decided to keep the information to himself.

Bae Seok-Ryu’s past with Greip is revealed

Bse Seok-Ryu had previously decided not to help Seung-Hyo anymore. However, the next day, she decided to help him anyway. After some waiting, they welcomed the Greip team. However, Seok-Ryu saw Chris, who joined them as Greip’s chief product designer, and it reminded her of her traumatic experiences with him in the past.

Although she worked at Greip, Chris and other team members used her as a pawn to get the rest of their work done. Although Seok-Ryu thought they believed in her, she later realized that she was being used for their benefit. This only made her uncomfortable during their meeting in Korea. After the meeting, the team at Greip liked her proposal, but Chris insisted on working with the rival company.

Chris confronted Seok-Ryu and he revealed how he knew she had heard him talking about her with colleagues at Greip. When Chris insulted Seok-Ryu, Seung-Hyo grabbed him by the collar. But when Chris insulted Seung-Hyo and his company, things only escalated. Myung-Woo found out Chris’ intentions and Seok-Ryu offered to quit if it helped Seung-Hyo. When Chris threatened to ask him out, she hit him for his behavior.

At the end of the episode, Seung-Hyo and Seok-Ryu shared their experiences at Greip and even prepared a curse for Chris. Seok-Ryu appreciated Seung-Hyo’s passion and hard work and revealed how it inspired her to do the same. At the same time, Myung-Woo called and shared that they had been awarded the contract to build Greip’s flagship store in Seoul. Myung-Woo also contributed to Chris being fired from the company. Upon hearing this news, Seok-Ryu gave Seung-Hyo a big hug and reminded him of a similar experience in the past.
