AI video of Elon Musk and Donald Trump grooving to “Stayin Alive” goes viral

Donald Trump, Republican candidate for the US election on November 5, shared an AI-generated video on Thursday (August 15) of himself and Tesla CEO Elon Musk rocking out to the iconic Bee Gees song “Stayin’ Alive.” Trump did not add a caption to his post on X (formerly Twitter).

The 36-second video shows both Musk and Trump in fancy suits, performing enthusiastic dance moves in complete sync.

The clip was first posted on X by Mike Lee, U.S. Senator for Utah, while SpaceX CEO Musk shared it on August 14 with the caption: “Haters will say this is AI.”

While Musk’s post exceeded 100 million views, the former US president’s post reached nearly 30 million views.

The video surfaced days after Elon Musk’s interview with the Republican presidential candidate, which was streamed live on X and was delayed by about 40 minutes due to a technical glitch.

Elon Musk announced his support for Donald Trump in July, days after the former US president survived an assassination attempt during a campaign rally in the Pennsylvania district of Butler.

During their interview on August 13, Trump made a mix of complaints, personal attacks and bold claims, while Musk occasionally offered subtle nods of encouragement.

Before the interview, Donald Trump returned to X, leaving his Truth Social behind for the first time in nearly a year.
