PORTLAND, Oregon (KPTV) – Two people have been sentenced to prison for torturing a girl in Portland.

Larissa Danielle Ducan and Javon Markquez Ingram, the girl’s father, were arrested in 2023. Prosecutors said the couple abused the girl from January 2019 to November 2021.

In November 2021, the child, then five years old, was taken to Randall Children’s Hospital in Portland, where staff found him severely malnourished and with injuries all over his body. He was also not clean and did not attend school. He weighed only 29.5 pounds. A doctor diagnosed the child’s injuries and condition as torture.

Later, 28 videos showing the abuse were recovered from Ingram’s phone, according to court documents.

The girl was placed with her grandmother after her guardians were arrested.

On Monday, Duncan was sentenced to 10 years in prison plus three years probation after her release and was banned from having any contact with the girl.

Ingram, the girl’s father, pleaded guilty on May 7 and was sentenced to 15 years in prison and three years of probation after his release.
