Released Hamas hostage Noa Argamani says she wants to “dance again” with her kidnapped boyfriend

At her “Return to Life” party, a banner was displayed with a picture of her partner and the words “We will dance again.”

“We have to appreciate every day of this life and celebrate every moment that we are here. We have to always celebrate,” she told those present. “I have waited two hundred and forty-six days for this moment.”

“It is not ideal to hold this party while the war is still going on, while our soldiers are still on the battlefield and there are still 109 hostages in Gaza, including my partner, whom we sorely miss.”

She was photographed dancing with her father Yaakov at the event.

Ms Argamani has since campaigned for the release of over 100 hostages still held in the Gaza Strip and spoke about them to G7 leaders at a summit in Tokyo this week.

“It’s a miracle that I’m here,” she said. “Avinatan, my friend, is still there and we have to get her back before it’s too late.”

Despite hopes that a hostage-in-exchange ceasefire could be reached in the latest round of talks between Israel and Hamas, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken left the Middle East empty-handed last week.

Initial support for a US “bridge proposal” collapsed after both sides accused each other of undermining the negotiations.
