Royal Dornoch will host the Curtis Cup in 2028

Royal Dornoch hosts the 45thth Curtis Cup match between Great Britain and Ireland and the United States of America in 2028.

The internationally renowned Championship Course in the Scottish Highlands will be the venue for the biennial team competition for the first time.
Royal Dornoch has an illustrious history as a venue for leading amateur events, including the Amateur Championship in 1985 and most recently the Scottish Men’s Amateur Championship in 2023. The R&A Women’s and Men’s Senior Amateur Championships were played on the famous links in 2022 and last year it also hosted the Vagliano and Junior Vagliano Trophy matches.

Historic venue in Highlands

Johnnie Cole-Hamilton, Executive Director – Championships at The R&A, said: “We look forward to hosting the Curtis Cup at such a historic venue in 2028.
“We want to provide elite amateur golfers with a world-class platform to show us what they can do and that will certainly be the case at Royal Dornoch. The Championship Course has received worldwide recognition and promises to be a wonderful event in the rich history of the Curtis Cup.”
