At the time of this writing, there are five games that Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to in September 2024.

Riders Republic may be released on Xbox Game Pass on September 11

Riders Republic may now be gearing up for an Xbox Game Pass debut ahead of its third anniversary. That’s according to longtime Microsoft leaker eXtas1s of eXputer, who recently reported on Twitter that Ubisoft’s 2021 title will be added to the XGP library “very soon.” The Spanish YouTuber elaborated on that claim, saying he expects Riders Republic is set to launch on Xbox Game Pass on September 11, but noted that the final release date may “vary a little,” according to a machine translation of his social media post.

Microsoft’s subscription service currently has a handful of confirmed releases for next month, including Star Truckers And Age of Mythology: Retoldwhich are scheduled to arrive there on September 3rd and 4th respectively. Train Sim World 5 will then arrive on the 17th, followed by Frostpunk 2 And Ara: Untold Story on the 20th and 24th respectively. All five of these confirmed titles will be day-one releases on the service. Rumours suggest there are many more to come, with eXtas1s recently reporting that Xbox Game Pass will receive a total of 19 new titles in September 2024. The leaker also claimed that 17 of these will be day-one games, with his latest report now suggesting that Riders Republic will be one of the two remaining where this will not be the case.

Why Riders Republic would be a great addition to Xbox Game Pass

Riders Republic would be a pretty big addition to the selection of big-budget sports games on Microsoft’s subscription service. The 2021 title was Ubisoft Annecy’s second attempt at developing an ambitious sports game, following the 2016 title Steep. It was received much more positively than Steepas underlined by the “strong” OpenCritic rating, which is based on a 73% recommendation rate from reviewers and an overall score of 78. Riders Republic and therefore currently enjoys the reputation of being one of the highest rated open-world sports games of all time.

If Ubisoft Annecy’s latest title is indeed heading to Xbox Game Pass on or around September 11, its arrival will likely be officially confirmed in a matter of days. In particular, the alleged timing suggests it will be part of the XGP September 2024 Wave 1 lineup, which is expected to be announced early next month.
