Release schedule and watch guide for season 2 of “The Rings of Power”

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is back with new episodes in August 2024. It has been two years since the first season premiered on Prime Video. The wait for what will happen in The Rings of Power Season 2 is finally over.

The Rings of Power Season 2 starts on Prime Video on Thursday, August 29th. Prime Video will release the first three episodes on this day, kicking off the season with a bang, followed by weekly episodes for the rest of the season.

New episodes of The Rings of Power Season 2 will be released on 3:00 a.m. ET / 12:00 p.m.. PT on Thursday. We know this is annoying for fans on the East Coast, but for fans on the West Coast, staying up until midnight to watch a new episode isn’t so bad.

Unlike Netflix, Prime Video has changed the release of new episodes of the Prime Video original series. While The summer I became pretty Season 2, Amazon released new episodes at 00:00 BST, which is 19:00 ET / 16:00 PT. So that worked out quite well for American audiences.

More recently, for The boys Season 4, Amazon has released new episodes on their scheduled release dates at midnight PT.

Like the first season of the series, this one also has eight episodes. The Rings of Power Season 2.

Since Prime Video is releasing the first three episodes of the series on the premiere date, there will be another short season for The Rings of Power. If all goes well, The Rings of Power The new episodes of the second season will air weekly on Prime Video from August 29th to October 3rd. The finale of the second season will also be released on Prime Video then.

Honestly, I don’t understand why Prime Video releases the first three episodes of a series on the premiere date of a new season. I understand it with a new show if the idea is to generate interest in the new series.

But for an established show like The boys or The Rings of Power, I don’t understand why we don’t get an episode of the entire season every week. There are clearly enough people tuning in. These shows know how to build momentum over the course of a season, so let’s give them more than a month to make an impression.
