WOLFSBANE announce the re-recording of “Live Fast, Die Fast” for their 35th anniversary

After many years and numerous requests from fans, Wolfsbane release a re-recorded version of their first album “Live Fast, Die Fast” entitled “Live Faster”.

The record is scheduled for release in late 2024 and is a completely new recording, NOT a remix or remaster of the original.

When guitarist and producer Jase Edwards was asked about the record, he said: “You asked, we listened. None of us know how long we’ll be on this earth, especially me, so it seemed like the right time to remake the album the way the band originally envisioned it. It’s going to be brutal.”

The record is currently in the final production phase and Jase has already blasted two amps to achieve the intensity he is looking for.

“The original recording was lost years ago,” comments Blaze Bayley. “It’s great to recapture the spirit of those songs and use our experiences to re-record and reinterpret them, with Jase producing everything. It’s been one of the most exciting things we’ve ever done and we didn’t think it would be this much fun.”

Steve Danger, the dynamic drummer of Wolfsbane, is a little more pragmatic: “Black Leather Jacket! A new one, because the old faithful companion can no longer be closed due to a life full of experiences. Experiences are cake!”

Bassist Jeff Hateley summed it up well: “People have been asking us to do this for years, we always said no. But then we realized that we still play most of these songs live and they have evolved over the years. The 35th anniversary seems like a good time to do it all again, our way. The same but different, different but the same.”

The band recently released a teaser video from the studio on their social media and YouTube channels with the caption “Name That Solo?!?!” (see below).

The album follows Wolfsbane’s last record, 2022’s Genius.

“Live Fast, Die Fast” was originally produced by Rick Rubin and released in 1989 on Def American Recordings.
