Mel B jokingly threatened to “remove her mother from her property” after taking on the home improvement work.

The 49-year-old pop singer posted a series of video clips on her social media page on Saturday (24.04.24) in which her mother Andrea was seen redecorating the walls and then tidying up the garden. The Spice Girls singer felt she had taken the thongs “too far” at that point.

She captioned an Instagram story: “I need to remove my mother from my property. This is going too far, damn it!”

Earlier in the afternoon, the ‘I Want You Back’ singer told her followers that her mother had come over to help her with chores, seemingly breaking her word when she initially claimed there would be no “competition” between the pair.

Mel wrote: “This is what happens when you ask your mom if she can help you peel paper. Mom (said): ‘This is not a competition, we should both do this TOGETHER!'”

But Mel did little more than call for her mother, who had supposedly run away from her, and after Andrea had done the lion’s share of the manual labor, Scary simply asked if everything had been “satisfactory” while she and her pup “chilled” together away from the action.

She said, “My mom won’t wait for me, she already started on my living room! So we, my mom, not me, finished a wall and a half while Cookie sits and relaxes.

“Is that satisfactory, mother? Put on your gloves! We just have to make one more wall now.”
