The boys recently announced a spin-off, with most of the details still under wraps, but series creator Eric Kripke recently revealed that there is at least one must-see episode in the show that fans will surely be looking forward to.

The boys has carved out a niche for itself in the taciturn superhero genre, capturing the interest of fans at a time when even titans of the genre like Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery are desperately trying to recover from waning interest in the franchises. From the beginning, the series was characterized by gratuitous violence and profanity, a tendency that came to full fruition in the show’s third season. The intensity of the visual spectacles it offered was so high that lead actor Karl Urban revealed that the makeup department on set ran out of fake blood during filming.

Eric Kripke, the showrunner of “The Boys” and co-creator of the spin-off series “Gen V,” talked about a complete team-up of the superheroes from the two shows.

No single event or plot element sums up the show’s hilarious relationship with almost comedic obscenity quite like Herogasm, an infamous comic storyline that sent readers into an uproar when it was confirmed that The boys The third season would bring the infamous event to life in action. While The boys has more pressing matters to attend to as it ends its run with the fifth and final season, the newly announced spin-off certainly has room for these antics. When asked about the possibility of the event coming up in the upcoming show, Vought rises In an interview with TVLine, showrunner Kripke confirmed that fans can expect more than just a standard Herogasm performance. He said, “I think we’d be crazy not to get to the origin of Herogasm, because Soldier Boy and Stormfront founded it and they’re the two leads of this new show.” Kripke, who will serve as an executive producer, also recently released a statement with Vought rises Showrunner/EP Paul Grellong gives fans an overview of what else they can expect from the show.

It’s a twisted crime thriller about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, then known as Clara Vought. We can’t wait to blow your minds and unsettle your souls with this salacious, grisly saga full of blood and Compound V.

Although there is very little information about Vought Rising following the announcement, the spin-off seems to fall into the crime thriller category, which could impact the franchise’s appeal. However, this confirmation from Kripke promises fans at least one episode of The boys-style, irreverent reveling in the gross and humorous. Better yet, at least for fans of the stuff, the set-up for the very first Herogasm will likely take up several episodes, if not the entire subplot/story arc.

While this would only be a franchise that stays true to its nature, the question of whether this is really necessary is not unfounded. If the show Herogasm was first launched, The boys knew what to expect, if only in broad terms, as the series was simply adapting and paying tribute to its rough and problematic source material. In that sense, the episode “Herogasm” was actually a small triumph of good writing and tasteful (relative term here) use of the event to package the plot. However, Vought rises is a completely new project with little more than just throwaway lines in The boys Comics, few of which were decent enough to even be included in the free show that The boys series. One might well wonder if Kripke really needs to tie the show to such an event or tone before production has even begun.

With the much more focused fourth season of The boys While it did manage to do better than the previous ones despite some controversial moments and storylines, there is no doubt that fans are willing and able to go beyond the spectacle and engage with a really well-written story. Of course, there is always room for a bit of fun, but much like game of Thrones at a certain point, the time for so much the tips could be over for The boys up-and-coming franchise, and maybe that’s for the best.
