Two Rosman High School students died in accident: Transylvania County Schools
Two Rosman High School students died in a car accident over the weekend, according to an August 25 press release from Transylvania County Schools.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news that two of our beloved Rosman High School students have lost their lives in a devastating accident,” the press release said. “Our community is devastated by an unimaginable loss and our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of these remarkable young people.”
Transylvania County Schools said they have set up counseling services for Rosman students and staff.
“The loss of such young, vibrant lives is a powerful reminder of how precious life is and how deeply we are all connected,” the press release said. “As we process this tragedy, we encourage everyone to support one another and find comfort.”
Many other high schools in western North Carolina shared condolences and messages of support on social media on Sunday.
The Hendersonville Times-News has reached out to family members and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, but they have not confirmed any details of the accident or the names of the victims.
