Dance group disrupted when men come ‘dangerously close’ during street performance

A dance group shared on TikTok the moment their street performance was interrupted by men who mocked them.

Bubble Tea Pandas, a K-pop dance cover group from Germany, gained popularity on TikTok after posting footage of a random man interrupting them during a performance on the street.

In the 7-second clip, which has been viewed over 7.5 million times, group member Mai Linhii shared her dance cover of KATSEYE’s “Touch,” which they performed in a public square in her country.

“Public dancing is always fun until a couple of guys got dangerously close to us,” she wrote over the video, which shows a man standing close behind one of the dancers trying to mimic her moves.

Luckily, the group’s camerawoman came to his aid by rushing over and pushing him away. “Our camerawoman Ayumi protected us in the end,” Mai wrote in the post.

Many TikTok users praised Ayumi in the comments for immediately intervening when she noticed the uninvited visitor. “That attitude?! That POWER?! I love her omg,” one person wrote.

“Her aura points are 10,000x, she didn’t look scared at all,” said another, with a third adding: “See how she handled it? Very reserved, very attentive.”

Others criticized the men’s behavior. One viewer wrote: “I don’t understand why people can’t just leave others alone. Just because you see someone taking a photo or even dancing in public doesn’t give you the right to just join in with what they’re doing.”

Mai later revealed in the comments that she was scared because the men were “really drunk” and taunting the dancers, but noted that the strangers “thankfully went away” after her camerawoman intervened.

This is not the first time that a street performance has been rudely interrupted. Previously, a street musician became famous on TikTok for reading the riot act to a man who had accused her of playback.
