Voting against judges on the abortion issue is controversial, but voting against presidential or vice presidential candidates who refuse to ban a form of infanticide, the killing of a living baby through neglect, should be uncontroversial.

It is unthinkable that a public official could take such an attitude. Legally sanctioned infanticide is a relic of ancient barbarism and is not tolerated by civilized nations.

One is horrified by the suffering of a newborn baby who is slowly dying because he is denied fluids, food and medical care.

Based on Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris’s statements about her moral values, her opposition to infanticide through neglect seems to be a given.

During her 2019 presidential campaign, Kamala Harris stated: “I often think of the parable of the Good Samaritan… Everyone knows that we must live and treat our neighbors as we would like to be treated…”

On August 19, 2020, Kamala Harris stated in her acceptance speech for the Democratic Party’s nomination for Vice President: “We are united by the fundamental belief that every person is of infinite value and deserves compassion, dignity, and respect.”

However, six months before accepting the nomination, on February 25, 2020, then-Senator Kamala Harris voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would have required infants who survive a botched abortion to receive the same care as other infants of the same gestational age.

The Democratic Party’s vice presidential candidate, Governor Tim Walz, is portrayed by his supporters on the Internet as the “Father of America.”

Real fathers protect babies.

In Minnesota, eight babies were born alive during Walz’s tenure as governor between 2019 and 2021. Although the law requires life-saving measures, none of them were born alive.

In 2023, Governor Tim Walz signed a law that would eliminate both the requirement to report such births and the requirement to provide life-saving care to a baby who survives an abortion.

It is inconceivable that a major political party, or even a minor party, would knowingly select such candidates for president and vice president. In fact, it is likely that these facts about Kamala Harris and Tim Walz were not widely known.

It is now known that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz have allowed the infanticide of babies born alive through abortions.
