Add coconut to your next Dunkin’ Frozen Hot Chocolate for a refreshing upgrade

Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean we don’t want to drink hot chocolate anymore—we just want it frozen instead. That’s where Dunkin’ Donuts Frozen Chocolate comes in, giving you all the rich chocolate goodness while keeping you cool in the heat. This drink is delicious on its own (especially with the generous dollop of whipped cream on top), but there are a few tasty ways to jazz it up for the end of summer.

One of the easiest ways is to add coconut. Although Dunkin’ discontinued coconut milk in 2023, you can still get all those chocolatey tropical flavors by asking to add a shot (or more) of coconut to your frozen mix. Unlike a flavor swirl, these shots are unsweetened and made without sugar, so you’re just adding the new flavor to your frozen chocolate. While you may not find them on Dunkin’ website, you can find them on the chain’s app or order them in person at a store. If you want to transform your ice-cold dessert drink into a creamier coconut mocha-flavored beverage, you can also add three mocha swirls (which are sweetened and contain dairy).

Use (possibly) seasonal flavors

While coconut would be a tasty addition to your frozen chocolate, it’s not the only summer upgrade you can give it. Dunkin’ has two fruity shot flavors available through the app and in-store, both of which would jazz up the richness of this chocolatey drink: blueberry (used in the famous Blueberry Donut Iced Coffee) and raspberry. If you want a fruity tropical twist, you can even add one (or both) of these berry shots and coconut. Or go in a richer direction and add a donut (which goes especially well with a raspberry shot) or a caramel flavor swirl, which will give your drink an uncomplicated sweet taste.

Another way to give your frozen chocolate a summery glow is with the s’mores treatment. It may not be fresh or fruity, but it reminds us of long summer nights around the campfire. You should ask for s’mores flavor swirls in your drink, and you can even go further and use marshmallow cold foam (instead of whipped cream), mocha crumbles, or graham crumbles—or all three. If you like the idea of cold foam on your frozen chocolate, you’re welcome to order the classic sweet version here, too. The s’mores drinks were advertised as summer drinks and may not last forever, so be sure to try this syrup while it’s still around.
