After a month-long journey through the classification, the 2024 Leagues Cup final will be a repeat of last year’s MLS Cup final, with the Columbus Crew hosting LAFC in the fight not only for the trophy but also for the right to a spot in next year’s CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Less than a year ago, these two teams met for the season title, and the Columbus Crew came out on top with a 2-1 victory. That will leave LAFC hungry for revenge in this Cup title match, as both sides also aim for a return to the league championship game this fall.

Both teams reached the semifinals with ease: LAFC beat Colorado Rapids 4-0 and the Crew defeated Philadelphia Union 3-1.

The winner will also secure a place in the round of 16 of next year’s continental competition.

Columbus Crew vs. LAFC: Lineups and team news

The Columbus Crew helped defend the MLS title and the Leagues Cup run and was an impeccable record, with only one backup goalkeeper Evan Bush currently on hold for the crew.

This means they have two CONCACAF internationals in Canada Jacen Russell Rowe and American DeJun Jones came on as a substitute in a very strong MLS team.
