Nine of India’s top 10 highest-valued companies saw a significant increase in their combined market valuation last week.

The total increase stood at Rs 95,522.81 crore, with Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Hindustan Unilever (HUL) leading the way.

This financial growth was seen as the BSE Sensex closed its fourth consecutive session at a high of 81,086.21 points on Friday.

Reliance Industries leads valuation jump

Reliance Industries led the rise in market valuation with an increase of Rs 29,634.27 crore, taking its total value to Rs 20,297,1068 crore.

TCS followed closely behind with an increase in its valuation by Rs 17,167.83 crore, which now stands at Rs 16,151,142.7 crore.

HUL also saw significant gains with its market capitalization increasing by Rs 15,225.36 crore, reaching a total value of Rs 6,611,151.49 crore last week.

Airtel and ICICI Bank record significant growth

Bharti Airtel and ICICI Bank also saw a significant increase in their market capitalization last week. Airtel’s valuation increased by Rs 12,268.39 crore to a total of Rs 8,573,922.26 crore, while ICICI Bank’s market capitalization increased by Rs 11,524.92 crore to Rs 8,476,4011 crore.

ITC, SBI, LIC and Infosys increase market valuation

ITC’s market capitalization increased by Rs 3,965.14 crore last week to a total of Rs 6,323,644.24 crore.

State Bank of India (SBI) also contributed to the overall increase with an increase in value of Rs 2,498.89 crore, bringing its total valuation to Rs 7,275,789.99 crore.

The market capitalization of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) increased by Rs 1,992.37 crore, while Infosys increased its valuation by Rs 1,245.64 crore to stand at Rs 7,732.6913 crore last week.

HDFC Bank experiences a slump

Contrary to the overall trend, HDFC Bank saw a decline in its market capitalization last week.

The bank’s valuation fell by Rs 4,835.34 crore to a total of Rs 12,386,061.9 crore.

Meanwhile, Reliance Industries managed to maintain its position as the most valuable company, followed by TCS and HDFC Bank.

Other companies on the list include Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and Infosys.
