Real Housewives of Orange County In Season 18, Episode 6, “All Up in Gina’s Grill,” the women of The OC flew to La Quinta for a relaxing getaway. Last week’s episode ended on a somewhat tense note after the hellish dinner party. Gina didn’t come out unscathed, as Heather and Emily both have a lot to get off their chest. But while they argue, Tamra, Alexis, Jen and new girl Katie escape to Big Bear for some rest.

Jen needs to get smarter

After being called stupid in the last episode, Jen had to go to the beach to get some grounding. She’s back in her prime, and I’m sure Emily will have something to say about that. But the lawyer isn’t wrong when he told Jen to sell her Rolex. And as Heather said, “You can’t just yell at people for being stupid.”

I start to wonder if everything is going crazy in Jen’s head. The blonde still doesn’t seem to understand that she owes people money in the form of unpaid rent. The woman is obviously not good with money, but she needs to learn, and fast.

Poor Emily drinks one too many espresso martini during Gina’s dinner, letting her thoughts pour out of her like Vesuvius after Pompeii. Perhaps the funniest post-dinner moment was when she discovered that Jen’s precious Rolex didn’t even tell the right time. But alas, Jen is tired of being the punching bag and throws quite a grenade into Tamra’s lap.

Gina has already stated that she is not thrilled that Tammy Sue and Emily are bonding. But the producers cut to a scene where Gina says that the two are now “doing this thing of who can be the bigger bitch.” And rightly so, because Gina feels that Emily has changed for the worse because of it. Of course, Tam Tam takes the news personally; this is blamed on Gina, who, quite frankly, is already going through a lot.

Heather vs. Gina, round two

Honestly, as if Gina didn’t have enough on her plate, she also has to deal with Fancy Pants and her feelings once again. As dinner wrapped up, Heather made it clear that the two would have to talk again later. But while shopping with Emily, Heather opens up even more about feeling “betrayed.” The actress asked, “Why didn’t Gina check the information to make sure it was accurate? Which it’s not.” Okay, fair point. As we know, text messages aren’t always the best evidence. And that particular screenshot of Katie? A little pathetic.

Heather just wants a chance to explain how upset she is. Gina is fully aware that Heather is “mad” at her because “she’s cold and distant.” But the realtor believes Heather has let it become “this thing in her brain that she can’t let go of.” According to Gina, “Heather is just a damn sensitive man.” But I have a feeling there’s a lot more to this argument.

Johnny J makes his first appearance in season 18 of the Real Housewives of Orange County in episode 6

Alexis has to hold back when it comes to Johnny J. I feel like we’re getting to know John better than she is. She’s tired of being nice; not that she ever really was. And Alexis wants to attack Shannon. But before she can do that, guess who’s calling! John is live and on FaceTime. I’d say the man is smiling more. But it might be because Alexis is showing off her bedroom clothes while noting, “We have enough sex without phone sex.” That’s enough, Alexis!

But even the biggest love bubble won’t stop Alexis from blowing Shannon up. After a little too much Kirkland vodka, Alexis spills what John claims to know. It turns out John has videos of Shannon from the night she was arrested for drunk driving. And Alexis doesn’t mind showing them to the world if she needs to.

In a confessional, Jen actually speaks some sense when she says, “Has anyone thought about what this would mean for Shannon? For her family? In my opinion, it’s wrong.” But Alexis insists, saying, “I definitely said some prayers for her.”

Two RHOC trips, one ghost

It’s easy to see that the ladies are taking two very different trips. While Tamra and her gang are snow tubing down the mountain, things have gotten very icy in La Quinta. Emily and Heather have teamed up to express their disdain for Gina by both being silent. But once again, another round of silence seems to have ruined a lovely weekend.

Gina has no strength to defend herself because both Heather and Emily agree that she is the one who has changed. While they didn’t give any real examples, two against one always wins.

But Shannon making up a rumor about child services and Gina’s kids isn’t comparable to Heather calling the paparazzi. It just isn’t. Once again, it’s the hot dog that suffers as it gets cold, waiting to be eaten during these petty squabbles.
