Paris venue reacts after baby seen on floor at Taylor Swift concert

After a baby was found at the bottom of a pit, Taylor SwiftAt the concerts in Paris, the venue reacted to the bizarre situation.

While Swift’s Epoch Tour At the La Défense Arena stop on Friday, May 9, a concertgoer posted a picture of an infant on the floor of the standing area. The now-deleted post was captioned: “I don’t want to be one of those people but I would really call security if I saw a baby in the stalls because it is NOT safe there.”

The image almost immediately sparked concern about the young child’s well-being and anger at the unidentified caregivers responsible.

“As a mother of a baby this size, I couldn’t imagine taking him to a concert at all,” one person wrote about X. “I understand that babysitters are hard to find, so if you absolutely must bring your baby, avoid sitting in the orchestra pit.”

They added: “You should have a baby carrier and the baby needs hearing protection.”

Another person showed a wide shot of the hall floor and the crowd before the show began.

“To paint the full picture, this is general admission to the Paris show tonight,” the concertgoer posted about X. “And the baby is somewhere on the floor AT THIS SHOW! So WTF have they lost their minds! Horrible parenting.”

A woman who claimed to be related to the baby’s family did her best to calm the excitement.

“This is my cousin’s baby,” she wrote of X on Saturday, May 11. “Yes, he’s fine. Yes, he had his own ticket. No, they don’t usually lack parental judgement this much. Bad right now. Relax, worried Floor Baby fans.”

Still, many people questioned why security allowed such a small child to be in the auditorium in the first place, which prompted a response from the arena.

In a statement to Page SixA spokesperson for La Défense Arena said the “General Conditions of Sale state that all minors (with no age restrictions) holding a ticket for a concert at La Défense Arena in Paris must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 18 remain under the supervision of their guardians, in accordance with the venue’s policy. An alternative seating arrangement was proposed for spectators with a young child in the hall, but was rejected by the ticket holders.”

Friday’s show was Swift’s second of four sold-out Paris concerts that concluded on Sunday, May 12.

Next, the Eras Tour heads to Stockholm, Sweden for three dates at Friends Arena, beginning on Friday, May 17th.
