Georgia Tech mocked Florida State’s TikTok with a wild Irish jig

Georgia Tech Institute went to Ireland and beat State of Florida in front of 30,000 Seminoles fans at the start of the 2024 season College Football season. The Yellow Jackets then danced on FSU’s grave during a wild postgame celebration.

You saw your opponent’s viral TikTok and took it personally!

Florida State arrived in Dublin on Wednesday night. Not long after, backup quarterback Trever Jackson, wide receivers Elijah Moore and LaWayne McCoy, and defensive end DD Holmes went for a walk. During their walk, they recorded a video of themselves doing their best attempt at a river dance.

It was hilarious and harmless. A group of freshmen had fun on the street and there are Nothing There is nothing wrong with that! There was far worse videos from the social media era of college football. They didn’t jinx anything. They didn’t guarantee a win. Nothing like that.

However, the Irish jig caught up with them.

Georgia Tech won the game by a walk-off field goal, defeating the No. 10 team in the country. And as winners of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic, the players were presented with the Crystal Helmet Trophy.

Rookie linebacker Bayler Duncan even tried it on!

The Yellow Jackets saw Jackson’s TikTok and threw it right in their faces. They were merciless.

Even though the Week 0 schedule was pretty weak, Saturday’s season opener in Dublin was a treat from start to finish. Not only was it a great game across all four quarters, but we also got our first troll job of the season. Georgia Tech won the game and fought all the way back to Atlanta, while Florida State had to sadly make the long flight back to the United States. College football is back!
