Universal Hollywood expands Fan Fest evenings with Star Trek and Back to the Future

Universal Studios Hollywood is expanding. The park is introducing Universal Fan Fest Nights, a combination of sci-fi, fantasy, gaming and anime in one immersive experience.

It comes from the same creators as the Halloween Horror Nights event.

The opening of Fan Fest Nights is planned for spring 2025. It will be an in-park event with a separate ticket.

“Universal Studios Hollywood has been a leader in developing and executing innovative special events that align with our brand for decades,” said Scott Strobl, executive vice president and general manager of Universal Studios Hollywood. “From our esteemed Halloween Horror Nights event to this all-new Universal Fan Fest Nights experience, we are thrilled at how this groundbreaking program will continue to enhance the guest experience in entirely new ways.”

The Fan Fest includes:

  • Star Trek: This experience is inspired by the Star Trek Universe, one of television’s most enduring franchises, known for its groundbreaking stories that address social, political and cultural issues and entertain millions of fans.
  • Back to the future: This experience is inspired by the 1985 blockbuster Back to the future Film. The groundbreaking adventure was the beginning of one of the most successful trilogies in film history, won an Oscar and launched a franchise that would gross nearly a billion dollars worldwide.
  • DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: 2024 was a banner year for DUNGEONS & DRAGONS (D&D). Following the acclaimed film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thievesand the successful video game Baldur’s Gate 3D&D celebrates its 50th anniversary.

Universal Fan Fest Nights is a limited-time after-hours experience exclusively at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Additionally, fans can look forward to a menu of themed food and new merchandise, including collectibles, apparel, drinkware, accessories and more to show their excitement during Universal Fan Fest Nights.

The musician The Weeknd provides the music at Horror Nights.
