NBA teams with the most nationally televised games in the 2024–25 season

The NBA has released every team’s schedule for the 2024-25 regular season. The regular season will run from October 22, 2024, to April 13, 2025. Along with the release of the schedule, fans also learned which games will be nationally televised. Brett Siegel, a national NBA insider and reporter for ClutchPoints, did everyone a favor by detailing how many games each team will have on national television. Here are the five teams whose games will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN or TNT the most during their 82-game regular season.

(Six teams have the fewest number of nationally televised games, with just one game each: the Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets, Detroit Pistons, Portland Trail Blazers, Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards.)

NBA teams with the most nationally televised games in the 2024–25 season

1. Los Angeles Lakers – 29

Although the Lakers aren’t on many people’s list of title contenders, they still have LeBron James on staff. Additionally, people may also want to tune in to games where Bronny James is on the team and not in the G League, perhaps to see him on the court with his father. Especially early in the season, fans may be interested in seeing JJ Redick on the sidelines in his first foray as a coach.

2. Boston Celtics – 26

The Celtics, the defending NBA champions, are bringing back all the players who played significant minutes for the team in the playoffs. Franchises like the Knicks, 76ers and Thunder have made moves to improve their chances of winning the championship, but Boston remains the favorite. They have the best odds to win it all next season at +295, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. The next best odds belong to Oklahoma City at +700.

T3. Golden State Warriors – 24

Much like the Lakers, the Warriors aren’t necessarily viewed as one of the teams with a great chance of winning the 2025 NBA Finals. And like the Lakers, they have a superstar on their roster in Stephen Curry, which will entice people to tune in to his games. Others may just tune in to see the antics of Draymond Green.

T3. New York Knicks – 24

A franchise that has long been one of the laughingstocks of the league, the Knicks have quickly risen to prominence. They have made the second round of the playoffs each of the last two years, and a Conference Finals appearance would have been likely if not for the injuries that plagued the 2024 postseason. The addition of Mikal Bridges should add to the fun factor and camaraderie the team already had, and there will be plenty of “Nova Knicks” memes to see as the season progresses.

5. Dallas Mavericks – 23

The Mavericks have the most dynamic backcourt in the NBA in Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. The two were the driving force behind the NBA Finals last season. Now they have added sharpshooter Klay Thompson, who should be able to take advantage of open vision because the backcourt can penetrate so much and draw so much attention from the defense. Can Dallas make it to the Finals again in a loaded Western Conference?
