A world without water: Stuntman from Hawaii raises money for drama series “Liquid Gold”

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Imagine a world without access to drinking water.

That’s the premise behind a drama series that a Hawaiian stuntman wants to propose for streaming platforms.

In “Liquid Gold,” Keoni Kramer imagines what life would be like if a devastating drought occurred and the government simultaneously shut off the water supply.

Everyday life takes on apocalyptic forms as community members resort to violence to maintain their hydration and survive.

Kramer hopes the film will encourage those responsible to save water and reduce waste.

“When people get desperate, it can get really bad… I think people need to be much more careful about what’s happening with our water source because we just use it, you know, we use, use, use… Water is life. And the Hawaiians believed that a long time ago… What are you going to do without water?”

To raise money for the filming of further episodes, Kramer organizes a special screening of the films that have already been shot.

The premiere is on September 14th at the Hilo Palace Theater.

His fundraising goal is $1 million to cover production costs and pay his actors and crew members.

In addition to the film screening, Kramer will perform a live choreographed stunt show with students from his stunt school in Hilo.

Kramer has also created a GoFundMe account; click here to donate.
