Dancing mothers‘ Alumni, Kelly Hyland shares a positive and hopeful update on her treatment, just months after announcing that she has breast cancer. The 53-year-old former reality star shared an update on her treatment progress on social media and although she still has a long road ahead, she still has the Strength to fight through this. Hyland is a mother of three children and two of her daughters, Brooke And Paigeappeared on the show before leaving in season 4.

In an Instagram post, Hyland shared a video of herself ringing a bell in the hospital, showing that she has reached a milestone and completed the first step of their treatment. She also shared what lies ahead, including surgery, multiple radiation treatments, and other forms of treatment. Hopefully, the journey is not long, as her daughter Paige posted her mother’s treatment update on her Instagram story, explaining that her mother is “halfway there.” The mother received support from others Dance Mom Stars, including Melissa Gisoni And Jill and Kendal Greensto name just a few that show that they believe she is strong enough to get through this.

In May 2024, Hyland announced that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. The reality TV star underwent a mammogram eight months before her diagnosis. At first she was told she was healthy. Unfortunately, at the second exam in March, a lump was found in her breast, and it was a malignant mass. Her official diagnosis was invasive carcinoma, stage 1, grade 3, which means it is growing rapidly.

In an interview with E! News, Hyland knew something was wrong when She noticed her significant weight lossThis led her to undergo screening and eventually learn about her cancer.
