Vanderbilt Swimming | Commodores named to 2024-25 roster

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Jeremy Organ, head coach of the Vanderbilt swim team, announced Friday that three more people have enrolled at the school and will participate in the program in the fall.

Libby Gilbert and Reagan Mathieson each have one season of eligibility with the Commodores, while Quinlan Hinerfeld comes to Vandy with two seasons of eligibility remaining.

They join a group that already includes four individuals who signed with the Dores in November: Emily Constable (Westfield, NJ), Aubrey Hull (Charlotte, NC), Cole Liffmann (Seattle, Washington) and Amelia Peterson (West Simsbury, Connecticut).

Hometown: Murrieta, California

Best events (times): 200 m freestyle (1:47.27), 500 m freestyle (4:46.30), 200 m backstroke (1:54.42)
Additional awards: Member of the Ohio State team for the past four seasons… Met the NCAA B standard in the 500 freestyle and 200 backstroke in 2023-24… Finished second for the Buckeyes in the 200 freestyle and was fourth on the team in the 500 freestyle and 200 backstroke her senior year… Finished in the top 10 in the prelims at the Big Ten Championships with a career-best performance in the 200 backstroke… Also met the NCAA B standard in the 200 backstroke in each of the previous two seasons… Was a NISCA All-American in high school… Named HSGametime Swimmer of the Year in 2017… Two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection

Quinlan Hinerfeld

Best events (times): 100 backstroke (54.22), 200 backstroke (1:57.46), 200 individual medley (2:03.09), 400 individual medley (4:22.64)
Additional awards: Earned the CSCAA NIC B standard in the 100 and 200 backstroke as a sophomore at Tulane…Took third place in the B final in the 200 backstroke at the 2024 National Invitational Championships…Placed in the top five in the A final in the 100 and 200 backstroke at the American Athletic Conference Championships in February…Received marks equivalent to the CSCAA NIC B standard in the 100 and 200 backstroke and 200 and 400 individual medley in her first season at the collegiate level…Took second place in the 100 backstroke in her first season at the AAC Championships…Added to the A final in the 100 backstroke and 200 individual medley as a high school senior at the state championships

Reagan Mathieson

Best events (times): 50 freestyle (23.24), 100 freestyle (50.15), 200 freestyle (1:48.76)
Additional awards: Selected to the All-Mountain West Conference as a sophomore at San Jose State…In her final three seasons with the Spartans, she posted CSCAA NIC B-standard qualifying times in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle…Two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection…After her freshman year, she was selected as a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete and to the Academic All-Conference team…While at Rock Canyon High, she was selected to the All-State and All-Conference teams…Named the school’s Swimmer of the Year in 2018…In her final two years at the prep level, she reached the A finals of the 200 freestyle at the state championships
