“After setting fire to and destroying the Rafah border crossing, the Israeli army has closed this border crossing between Palestine and Egypt for over three months,” the government office in the Gaza Strip said in a statement quoted by IRNA on Wednesday evening.

This office stressed that this behavior of the Zionist army coincides with an unprecedented increase in humanitarian disasters in all areas of the Gaza Strip and clearly constitutes an illegal crime and a violation of international law and international human rights, and is contrary to all international agreements.

The regime continues to prevent the entry of any humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, including medical supplies. This indicates the Zionist regime’s intention to destroy the health sector, as a lack of medicines and equipment could lead to the closure of some remaining hospitals.

The Gaza Media Office also announced that during the same period, the Zionist regime prevented 25,000 sick and injured people from traveling abroad for treatment, resulting in the deaths of more than 1,000 children, sick and injured people.

It calls on the international community and all international bodies to condemn the regime’s crimes and to hold the Zionist regime and the United States fully accountable for the dangerous consequences of closing the Rafah crossing and preventing the entry of medical equipment and humanitarian aid into Gaza.
