The chef admitted that his oven gets a lot of use and that it can get “quite dirty.”

“It’s been a few months since I cleaned it,” he said sheepishly. “But let’s be honest, we’ve all been in this situation before.”

Fortunately, his homemade paste is “fantastic” because it can dissolve grease and dirt without much effort – the perfect cleaning trick.

“This cleaning solution is incredibly easy (to prepare),” promised the chef, adding that it only requires one kitchen item to be mixed with water.

“The best part is that it doesn’t contain any harsh chemicals at all,” he added, revealing that the homemade paste is made from baking soda and water.

“We take a quarter cup of baking powder,” he instructed. “And then we add a little bit of water at a time.”

By mixing baking soda and water, a “thick paste” is created, which is then applied to the oven glass with a sponge.

“This paste works fantastically,” he said in the YouTube video. “You just have to apply (the paste) lightly to the glass.”

He added: “Rub it in a little bit, but you don’t have to overdo it. Just make sure all the grease is completely covered.”

For the paste to work, it must be left on the oven fat for at least 30 minutes.

Afterwards, the paste only needs to be wiped off with a damp sponge (preferably a brittle sponge).

When the paste is wiped off, the accumulated oven grease is “rubbed off” – a “simple and uncomplicated” wiping is guaranteed.

“Look at this glass,” he said. “It’s almost perfect.” And even better: It’s a “completely safe alternative” to chemical cleaners.
