Identity released of woman who died after jumping from 10th floor of Waukegan apartment building – Cardinal News

Waukegan Police and Fire Departments responded to an injured person case outside of Lakeside Tower Apartments, 200 Julian Street Waukegan at approximately 9:42 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. When emergency responders arrived, they found a victim unconscious and not breathing. Preliminary investigation indicates the victim, a woman in her 30s, had jumped from the 10th floor of the building. The victim was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center where she was pronounced dead in the emergency room.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office was notified and began an investigation into the death.

The deceased was identified as 34-year-old Chiquita Quinn of Waukegan. An autopsy was performed at the Lake County Coroner’s Office on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Preliminary autopsy results indicate Chiquita Quinn’s death was the result of blunt force trauma consistent with jumping from a great height.

The case is still being investigated by Waukegan Police, but no evidence of foul play has been found.
