Jenna Ortega talks about a possible continuation of the dance scene in season 2 of “Wednesday”
Wednesday Season 2 sees the show’s incredible cast, characters and locations return for a second time, but the new season may leave the show’s most viral moment behind. Cast Jenna Ortega As Wednesday Addams, Season 1 sent the titular heroine to Nevermore Academy, a secure school for “outcasts.” While Wednesday tries to solve a series of mysterious murders, she must endure the more mundane aspects of school life, including a Halloween dance. The scene gave the world the famous Wednesday dance to “Goo Goo Muck” by The Cramps, which quickly became a trend on social media.
In an interview with Extra TV about her leading role in Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice BeetlejuiceOrtega was asked if there will be a similar dance scene in season 2. The actress said that she has already filmed four episodes of the new season and has not been asked to dance on camera again. While Ortega said it is unlikely that there will be another dance scene in season 2, she kept fans’ hopes alive by hinting that it could still be included in the second half of season 2. Ortega said:
“Not that I know of. I don’t look at the schedule in advance, but I’m afraid I might see something.”

Production is currently underway at Wednesday Season 2, filming is underway in Ireland. The full cast list for season 2 has not been officially confirmed, but the main characters from season 1, including Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers), Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones), and Gomez Addams (Luis Guzman), are all expected to return for season 2. Tim Burton wanted to direct “Beetlejuice” on Wednesday
Tim Burton is known for assembling an ensemble of proven actors to work with on multiple projects. In the past, Burton has made several films with Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Christopher Lee, and Michael Gough. It seems like Jenna Ortega is a natural addition to Burton’s renowned crew of returning actors, and she makes her second appearance in the Burton-verse in the long-awaited sequel. “Wednesday reminded me why I like doing things. It was like making a movie on a TV schedule. It was fast. It was invigorating. We didn’t want to do a sequel. This was before anyone talked about franchises. The first time I heard that word, by the way, was on Batman Returns. I remember the first time I heard it, I got a chill down my spine.”
