FORECAST:
After another day of record-breaking heat on Thursday, temperatures today will still be hot, but not *that* hot.
Highs are expected to reach 100° Friday afternoon, with temperatures feeling more like 105° for a few hours. There’s also a slight chance of storms tonight, especially after 5 p.m. As with the past few days, whatever does show up will be isolated and include gusty winds and perhaps some lightning and thunder.
The weekend looks pretty quiet. Thankfully the heat is starting to shift, so temperatures will drop a bit more. Expect highs around 35 degrees.
An upper-level low pressure system is moving into South Texas and will bring some showers starting Monday and will stay through mid-week, with rain chances likely peaking on Tuesday (30%).
We will keep you updated. Until then, we wish you a nice afternoon and a nice weekend!
