“Illusion” is the second single from The surface seems so farthe new studio album of the hard rock/alternative band Seether The release is scheduled for September 20th.

The track premiered on Friday can be heard below:

“’Illusion’ is one of the highlights on this album for me,” said bassist I’m Dale Stewart. “With its hypnotic opening riff that chugs along like an industrial machine, the haunting melodies in the chorus and the absolute intensity of the bridge, I think this song is a step forward for us while also being Seether through and through. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do.”

“Judas Mind” was the first single from the album and gave a taste of this era of the band’s career – a mixture of brooding emotions and the grunge screams of singer and songwriter Shaun Morgan, accompanied by buzzsaw guitars and a mighty chorus:
