The Greens say their newly hired attorney will rush Friday to meet the state Supreme Court’s Thursday deadline to respond to a legal request from Democrats.

With this motion, the court wants to remove the Green Party’s presidential candidate, Jill Stein, from the ballot in Wisconsin in November. According to political experts, the Democrats fear that Stein could take votes away from the Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, in what is expected to be a very close race against Republican Donald Trump.

Wisconsin Green co-chair Dr. Michael White criticized the Democrats’ attempt, telling WUWM’s Chuck Quirmbach that Stein offers a real alternative.

White is a semi-retired dermatologist from the La Crosse area who says he has also voted a lot for Democrats over the years.
