The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said Friday there may be more victims after a man was arrested on suspicion of attempting to have sex with a girl and sending her inappropriate text messages.

Roman Gomez, 59, is accused of inciting a child to engage in sexually illicit conduct and traveling with a minor to meet him. He is also accused of four counts of distributing material harmful to minors.

The sheriff’s office said it received information Tuesday that Gomez had sent inappropriate text messages to an underage girl.

Following an investigation, Gomez was arrested Thursday and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail shortly after 12:30 p.m.

According to the sheriff’s office, investigators believe there may be more victims.
