Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro returns to Oceanside Pier September 20-22 – North Coast Current

ASA Entertainment recently announced that the World Surf League QS3000 Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro powered by CELSIUS will celebrate its 18th year at the Oceanside Pier 20-22 September.

The nationally televised event is the largest women’s surfing competition in the world. More than 140 of the world’s best professionals will compete. Entry to the event is free.

Some of the biggest names in women’s surfing are expected, including former Super Girl Champions Alyssa Spencer from EncinitasSawyer Lindblad of San Clemente, Caitlin Simmers from Oceanside, Sage Erickson, Keala Tomoda-Bannert And Samantha Sibley of San Clemente and Pipe Masters Champion Moana Jones Wong.

In addition to world-class shortboard and longboard surfing competitions, the event also includes a Festival Village with 15 free live concerts, the annual Super Girl Gamer eSports tournament, a women-only DJ competition, free classes in fitness, yoga, Zumba, wellness, cycling and dance, celebrity speakers, panel discussions, an art exhibition featuring female performers, social influencers, a beer garden and food court, and a mentoring program for young female surfers with top professionals.

New elements include a beach volleyball tournament and courses for women, a beach soccer tournament and courses for women, a cheerleading and dance competition, a professional skateboarding competition, a women’s lifeguard competition and a “Mother’s Day” initiative on 22 September.

The Nissan Concert Series, part of the CELSIUS Essential Vibes Tour, features 15 artists performing free live concerts with stars such as Bishop Briggs, CeeLo Green, Beach Weather, lovelytheband and more.

The event is part of the Super Girl Series, a mission-based platform that includes three women’s sports and lifestyle events designed to promote female empowerment, inclusion and equality. Each of the Super Girl events is about providing sporting, social, cultural, educational and entertainment opportunities for young women in traditionally male-dominated industries.

The event also expands its long-term partnerships with Nissan as title sponsor and CELSIUS as presenting partner.

The event takes place daily Friday, September 20 through Sunday, September 22 out of 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Access to browsing, concerts, e-sports, panels, courses, lectures and all elements is free.

The event will be televised by 10 November to 31 January with more than 30 national and regional broadcast partners and is streamed live 21-22 September out of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. over 15 digital partners, including supergirlsurfpro.com and twitch.tv/supergirlseries.
