Woman jumps from 2nd floor to escape an attack

ISLAMABAD:

A young woman jumped from the second floor of an apartment in Sector E-11/2 of the federal capital to protect her dignity. She was taken to PIMS Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the jump.

The victim, who identified herself as NK and lives in Islamgarh, Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, stated that an acquaintance, Shakeela, the sister of Shaan alias Shani, contacted her three or four days ago and invited her to Islamabad on the pretext of exploring the city.

When NK arrived at flat no. 210 on the second floor of Medical Society Crown Plaza in Sector E-11, she alleged that Shani seized her phone and cash worth Rs 50,000 and refused to return them despite repeated requests. Instead, they repeatedly forced her into adultery through blackmail and manipulation. Feeling trapped and desperate, she eventually fled the second floor flat.

The police have registered a case under sections 380, 342 and 354 PPC and started investigation. According to police sources, the investigation will determine whether Shaan, the main accused, is involved in an organised extortion ring that targets innocent girls. Initial findings suggest that Shaan runs a massage centre.
