SM: Kalulu to Juventus still far from decided – why it has reached a stalemate

Just when it looked like Pierre Kalulu’s transfer to Juventus would go through very quickly, there was a slowdown in negotiations.

As our colleagues at SempreMilan.it report, various sources have spoken about the existence of negotiations between Juventus and Milan regarding Kalulu, and this is indeed true. Cristiano Giuntoli has offered a loan of €4 million plus an option to buy of €14 million and bonus payments on top, we can confirm this.

It is a transaction worth a total of €20 million, but one that offers no security for Milan at this stage, as the Bianconeri have so far refused to commit to a purchase or to set conditions that would provide guaranteed income in addition to the loan fee, creating a stalemate.

First of all, it must be clarified that it was Milan who put Kalulu on the market and not the other way around. In a conversation with the agent, the Rossoneri stated that if they received a suitable offer, the Frenchman would be sold to make room for new signing Strahinja Pavlovic.

After a few attempts for Malick Thiaw – who was linked with Newcastle United but stayed at Milanello due to a lack of suitable offers – it was up to Kalulu’s agent to probe the market for new targets.

David Manasseh, the Frenchman’s representative, proposed his client to several clubs in Italy and abroad. The Bianconeri were the most interested, especially after the failure of Jean-Clair Todibo’s operation.

According to the information provided by our team, Juventus’ offer remains unchanged until the end of the Mercato. In fact, the Old Lady does not seem willing to make a purchase commitment for the defender, who remains a target but only under the current conditions.

Kalulu, for his part, has not yet fully embraced the idea of moving to Turin, as he has unresolved doubts about his actual playing ability. The former Lyon player is also waiting for other offers from abroad, as he has not yet received the necessary assurances from Juve.

In the meantime, Milan is waiting and continues to value Pierre Kalulu at no less than 20 million euros. Juve’s offer is on hand and will remain until the end of the transfer window, but those in charge are confident that the right offer can also come from the Premier League and/or Ligue 1.
