On 9 August KQ Entertainment released a new remix of ATEEZ‘s hit song “WORK”. The remix entitled “WORK Pt.4 – ATEEZ X G-Eazy” features the American rapper Gerald Earl Gillumknown as G-Eazy.

ATINYs were disturbed when they heard G-Eazy’s addition to the song. It had nothing to do with the song’s original meaning and instead seemed to be intended to smear his ex-partner. Halseywho was born under the sign of Libra, with the line “We are far away if Libra is your star sign.”

Halsey and G-Eazy’s romance was documented in August 2017 with the release of “Him & I” before becoming official in September. Ironically, the song’s lyrics claim he would never cheat on Halsey.

Nevertheless, Halsey announced the couple’s separation in July 2018 and later strongly suggested that the rapper’s infidelity was the cause.

Halsey also responded to derisive Instagram comments. The singer stated that G-Eazy was abusive in their relationship.

Given the history, the ATINYs were naturally put off by the collaboration between ATEEZ and G-Eazy. They found it extremely tasteless to use ATEEZ’s song to continually harass his ex. His song also contained offensive and sexually explicit lyrics.

Therefore, the ATINYs agreed to boycott the collaboration. They will continue to stream the previous versions of “WORK.” Some even made their own remixes of the English version of “WORK” without G-Eazy.

@/AtinySurvivors posted a campaign on Twitter to urge RCA and KQ to remove the song and re-upload it with only ATEEZ’s verses! I know how much fan power is driving these labels and companies lately, so it can’t HURT to try. Also, this is in NO WAY meant to harm ATEEZ. If anything, they should start over and collaborate with western artists. All love and I mean it. I do NOT joke with the ATINYs I’ve met… so I will support anything that harms them!

They have released an official 2-page statement on behalf of ATINYs, requesting KQ Entertainment to remove the song due to G-Eazy’s “Misogyny and damage to ATEEZ’s future collaborations.” ATINYs believe that the song is a mockery of ATEEZ and offensive as it also promotes rape culture.

They explained their reasons and cited certain offensive lyrics. ATINYs also fear that this collaboration could jeopardize future collaborations, as G-Eazy’s bad reputation is well known in the music industry.

ATINYs send emails to KQ Entertainment, share the template on social media and trending hashtags #ATEEZ, #birthdaygift, #WORK, #ATINYSurvivors, #ATEEZbelieveSurvivors, #ATEEZxNotG_Eazy, And #TakeWORK_pt4down while tagging ATEEZ’s official account, company, and RCA Records.
