‘The Acolyte’ merchandise removed from Disney’s online store — World of Reel

Disney is trying hard to make people forget The Acolyte.

It is said that all goods for “The Acolyte” completely removed from Disney’s online store. Is Disney trying to delete the show? Some are speculation that they might take the show off their streaming platform next.

In case you don’t know, the Star Wars series on Disney+ was recently canceled after just one season, despite ending on a cliffhanger. You can speculate all you want about the reasons for the cancellation, but the fact is that The Acolyte simply didn’t resonate with fans as much as Disney expected.

I’m not sure if removing merchandise means the series will be removed from streaming entirely, but that’s where we are at right now. The only reason Disney could possibly remove “The Acolyte” from Disney+ is to avoid paying royalties on the series, and they’ve already done that with another show (“Willow”).

I don’t think it would be worth it for Disney to delete it. Can you imagine the PR disaster they would face if they went to such lengths to eliminate everything related to The Acolyte?

Neither the cast nor crew of “The Acolyte” have commented on the cancellation yet, but there was a #RenewTheAcolyte Social media campaign. Good luck with that.

Another Star Wars series, “Skeleton Crew,” starring Jude Law, is set to premiere on Disney+ in December. A second season of “Ahsoka” is also in the works, while “The Mandalorian and Grogu” is the next Star Wars film, set to hit theaters on May 22, 2026.

Nothing is known yet about Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s Rey film, which I previously reported could be in limbo. The film suffers from script problems and Disney is slowly losing patience.
