Frank Stone Casting Reveals Cutting Room Floor and Twitch Integration Features

Cutting Room Floor lets you revisit different points in the story without starting a new game, while Twitch integration allows viewers to decide the fate of the characters.

As Supermassive Games continues to work on The Casting of Frank Stone, the developer showed off new features for Frank Stone that will be used for the first time in a Supermassive game. The Cutting Room Floor is designed to give players an easy way to relive key points of the game and make new decisions, while Twitch integration allows content creators to give their viewers the ability to control the game’s stories themselves.

Both Cutting Room Floor and Twitch integration in The Casting of Frank Stone were showcased in a new trailer released this week, where Behaviour Interactive and Supermassive Games showed off how both features work. Cutting Room Floor is designed to allow players to easily revisit parts of the game they’ve seen before, allowing you to return to a crucial point or decision, pick up missing collectibles, or see how other choices would have played out.

Meanwhile, Twitch integration allows streamers to let their viewers join in on the fun. Twitch viewers can vote on in-game decisions and determine how the story progresses. The streamer has limited veto powers to overrule certain decisions, but can only do so a few times. We’ve seen things like this in Baldur’s Gate 3, which makes these games much more interesting for players and viewers alike.

The Casting of Frank Stone is scheduled to be released in September 2024. Stay tuned for more details on the game as we get closer to release.
