Thunderful has announced that a sequel to Zoink’s 2021 action-adventure Lost in chance is in progress. Lost in Random: The Eternal Cube will be released in 2025 for Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Cube continues the story of the previous game and puts you in the role of the (former) Queen of Random. She and her companion Fortune are trapped in the Eternal Die of the same name and must fight their way out.

The gameplay is transformed into a roguelite experience, making it even more true to the “Random” in its name. The Eternal Die is a self-reshuffling maze that contains rooms inspired by classic board games.

I personally haven’t played the original Lost in chance and I keep confusing it with Lost in lifea game by Kira, the developer who later created: Lunacid. However, former Destructoid editor-in-chief Jordan Devore covered it for the site and seemed to really enjoy it. He said that while there were limitations based on the size of the budget, he never felt bored and enjoyed it throughout. Hopefully the same praise goes for The Eternal Cube.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Cube is scheduled to be released in 2025 for Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
