NEW DELHI: In a tragic incident, a three-year-old girl died on Thursday when she fell from the third floor of an apartment building in Sagarpur district of west Delhi.

The entire incident was recorded by video surveillance systems installed in the area.

The surveillance camera footage shows the child suddenly falling onto the street.

A woman is then seen panicking and raising the alarm when she sees the child lying there covered in blood. Shortly afterwards, the girl’s family is seen arriving at the scene.

The girl was immediately taken to the hospital, but doctors could not save her and she died during treatment.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances under which the girl fell from the third floor.

According to initial police investigations, it is possible that the girl accidentally fell while playing alone on the balcony.

Police are also reviewing additional CCTV footage from the area to gain further details about the incident.

In a similar incident in Noida last December, a three-year-old girl fell from the third floor of her building while playing and died while receiving treatment.

In another incident, a child in Delhi’s Jafrabad district died when he fell from the third floor while playing near a window at home.

The boy lost his balance and fell. Despite all rescue efforts, the attending doctors pronounced him dead.
