The stage play “Tokyo Blade 2.5D” continued, with Akane Kurokawa taking the spotlight and Kana Arima taking on her role as a supporting actress.

The star of the show, Taiki Himekawa, asked why Kana didn’t try to overshadow Akane during her big scene. Kana explained that she held back to maintain order in the show. She believed that if everyone tried to be the star, the performance would fall apart.

Taiki then revealed that he does not wear contact lenses when acting. Instead, he interprets his fellow actors’ emotions based on their performances rather than their expressions.

In the play, Taiki’s character Blade ultimately faced off against Aqua Hoshino’s character Touki. To compensate for Taiki’s emotional portrayal, Aqua deliberately acted emotionless.

Feeling threatened by Akane’s strong performance, Taiki decided to improvise some lines, forcing Kana and Aqua to improvise. This allowed Kana to take center stage and take the opportunity to perform the way she always wanted. Her performance surprised everyone, including producer Masaya Kagurabi, who had believed Kana had already reached her peak as an actress.

Kana then recalled her childhood when she first became an actress. Her mother had always dreamed of becoming famous and pushed Kana to enter the industry to pursue that dream. Kana’s early success allowed her mother to come into contact with the celebrities she admired.

However, her mother became too attached to Kana’s fame and began pressuring producers and directors for more roles and screen time. This obsession put a strain on their relationship, especially as her mother became increasingly critical of Kana’s performances. The situation worsened when Kana’s father left, announcing her mother’s fixation on Kana’s career.

This turbulent childhood shaped Kana’s attitude as a child actress. She became difficult to work with and believed that she would only get roles if she was reserved and calm. Her self-confidence was shaken and she accepted that she was no longer a brilliant child actress, but only suitable for supporting roles.

Things started to change when she met Aqua, who helped her regain her confidence and encouraged her to do her best.

Aqua and Akane were amazed by Kana’s ability to shine on stage. One of the play’s defining moments came when Arima’s character, Princess Saya, sacrificed herself to save Aqua’s character, Touki. This moment put Aqua in the spotlight, but also triggered his trauma.

It turns out that director Taishi Gtanda knew that Aqua was Ai Hoshino’s son. Aqua is determined to rise in acting and is driven by the desire to find out who was close to his mother before she was murdered.

The trauma Aqua suffered from his mother’s death prevents him from enjoying acting. For him, acting is a painful reminder of his tragic past. Nevertheless, Aqua remains determined to become a star, driven by his mission to find his mother’s killer.
