The 46th Annual Heritage Festival will be held at the WaterFire Arts Center
The Rhode Island Historical Preservation & Heritage Commission is preparing for the 46th annual Heritage Festival, to be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the WaterFire Arts Center in Providence.
The celebrations will begin with a parade of international flags from over 30 countries, officially opening the festival. Following the parade, there will be a country recognition ceremony organized by Silvermoon Mars LaRose. The event will also include a range of cultural performances from a variety of cultures, including singing, dancing and storytelling. There will also be a children’s area offering free face painting, arts and crafts.
The WaterFire Arts Center will be transformed into a unique celebration of Rhode Island’s rich and diverse heritage, featuring stunning visual art, engaging cultural exhibits and mesmerizing musical performances from cultural groups from across the state. The event will also showcase traditional food and drink from local favorites such as Cultro PVD, Eat Village Greek, Angkor Boba Tea House and the luxury Lemon food trucks.
The event will take place from noon to 5 p.m. at the WaterFire Arts Center in Providence. For more information, visit the festival website.
