Vanessa Morgan reveals her daughter’s name!

Kaia Autumn Skye, her first child with boyfriend James Karnik, was born on Saturday, July 27, the 32-year-old actress announced in an Instagram post on Wednesday, August 21. Morgan previously shared a TikTok video revealing Kaia’s arrival on August 1, but did not reveal any further details until now.

“Enjoyed cuddling with our angel for the last three weeks. Infinitely grateful 🫶🏽,” Morgan wrote in the caption on Instagram.

The post included photos of her and Karnik holding their little girl’s hand. In one photo, Kaia is seen in the arms of her older brother River, who looks at her lovingly. In another photo, Kaia and River’s feet are seen, with Kaia sitting on River’s lap.

Morgan has her three-year-old son River with her ex-husband Michael Kopech.

In another photo, Karnik is seen holding the baby in his arms while Morgan sits next to them. Kaia wore an adorable outfit that consisted of a polka dot skirt and a long-sleeved shirt with lace trim.

Another photo shows Morgan giving Karnik a kiss on the cheek while putting her arms around his neck and Kaia’s back.

The Instagram carousel ended with a sweet photo of the foursome. Morgan and Karnik gave each other a kiss while Kaia slept on her father’s chest and River smiled directly into the camera.

Several friends and followers commented on the new addition to the family. Morgan’s Riverdale Co-star Skeet Ulrich wrote: “Such a beautiful family ❤️❤️.”

Her Wild Cards Co-star Giacomo Gianniotti added: “Congratulations to the new member of the happy family ❤️❤️.” Margaux Co-star Madison Pettis commented: “So cute 🥹.”

The Riverdale The former student had previously announced the welcoming of her second baby with a TikTok video posted on Thursday, August 1. The video shows Karnik carrying the baby out of the hospital.

“The famous hot dad walk upon leaving the hospital did not disappoint,” she wrote.

“Okay fine, impregnate me again 😂🤰🏽,” she joked in her caption, re-sharing the video on her Instagram.

Karnik posted the same video on his Instagram stories with the caption, “Y’all didn’t know my girl has been waiting for this video/moment since we found out.”

The couple announced their pregnancy in an Instagram post from Morgan on July 6. The next day, Morgan revealed the gender of her and Karnik’s baby in another Instagram post, writing, “My GIRL🌸… I can’t believe you’ll be here everyday.”

After welcoming River in January 2021, Morgan spoke to PEOPLE in November 2021 about the parenting advice she received from her former Riverdale Co-star Mark Consuelos and his wife Kelly Ripa.

“I spoke to Kelly (and Mark) after I gave birth to (River),” she said at the time. “They were just happy for me and gave me beautiful baby clothes for River.”
