Dance Moms teacher Abby Lee Miller admits that she was “too strict” with children who “just didn’t have any talent.”

Notoriously hard Dancing mothers Teacher Abby Lee Miller has made a rare comment about her treatment of children who appeared on her show.

Miller rose to fame through the Lifetime reality TV series, in which she trained children for dance and show business under her demanding tutelage. However, former students left the show because they complained about the difficult treatment they had to endure.

The 58-year-old has since admitted that she may have been too harsh – but added that she only feels remorse because “they simply lacked the talent”.

“Do you think looking back, you would take away any of the harshness or any of it?” Miller was asked in a new interview with ABC News.

“Absolutely, I would,” replied the teacher.

“Because no matter how hard I was on the kid, he just didn’t get it. He just didn’t have the talent. He didn’t have it.”

The ABC anchor confronted Miller with this statement, saying, “You’re saying you regret it not because you hurt the boy’s feelings, but because it was senseless?”

Miller paused for a long time before answering, “Well… no, I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, I want them to feel better and be the best they can be.”

Maddie Ziegler, a longtime collaborator of “Cheap Thrills” singer Sia and dancer, was the rising star of the show and has made numerous appearances in record-breaking hit music videos, including “Chandelier,” “Elastic Heart” and “The Greatest.”

Ziegler, who was considered Miller’s favorite student on the show, said she had no contact with her teacher and that her family was uncomfortable with her exit after three seasons.

Meanwhile, Jojo Siwa revealed that Dancing mothers was such a stressful experience that she was left with a “bald spot” due to hair loss.
