Jujutsu Kaisen continues with great intensity and fans know that the series is now nearing its conclusion. It was recently announced that Jujutsu Kaisen will soon come to an end, and the author has confirmed that the story will not continue at any cost until 2025. It was also announced that Jujutsu Kaisen is currently at its peak, meaning the major battles of the Shinjuku Showdown arc are now coming to an end.

Yuji’s battle against Sukuna in his realm is heating up, and the outcome of this battle will likely be revealed soon. Since he is up against the King of Curses, the battle can go either way. Either Yuji will defeat the King of Curses with a resounding victory, or he will lose his life in the process, and the probability of the latter is quite high.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a series that doesn’t shy away from killing off its main characters. Whether it’s a death that serves a purpose or just a death that’s in the story for shock value, the author just loves killing off his characters. In fact, the author recently stated that he loves killing off the characters that fans adore because it would elicit more reaction and have a bigger impact in the grand scheme of things. Characters that don’t elicit a real reaction from fans are better left alive. It can be said that there are a lot of senseless deaths in Jujutsu Kaisen, and at the same time, there are also some that helped move the plot forward. In both cases, the constant is that characters die, and Shinjuku Showdown already saw quite a few characters die in that story.

Jujutsu Kaisen could very well see the deaths of many of the main characters of the Final Saga, and the lives of some of them are currently hanging in the balance. Yuji Itadori, the protagonist of the series itself, is a character who could very well die in the story, and that shouldn’t surprise fans at all. In the Shinjuku Showdown Arc itself, Jujutsu Kaisen killed Gojo, the face of the entire series and the most popular character. At the same time, other people like Choso have also died in this saga.

Fans have also seen Yuta fall on the battlefield, battling death, while Higuruma was also cut down. Obviously, there were a lot of deaths on the part of the wizards in this saga, and it’s very likely that more will be added to the list once the final story arc settles down.

As for the main group of the story, fans have already seen the death of two of the four characters. The main characters in Jujutsu Kaisenconsist of Yuji Itadori, Megumi, Nobara and Gojo. These characters are crucial to the plot and two of them have already died. In the Shibuya arc, Nobara met her end. Although her death was extremely massive, it did not have a major impact on the plot and it can be said that it was a death that could have easily been avoided and was only brought about by the author, which is why most fans are not at all happy with this decision.

Gojo died in the last arc while fighting Sukuna. His death once again didn’t please many fans, especially because the way it was brought about was way too forced. Now only Megumi and Yuji are alive, and oddly enough, Gege has already painted out scenarios where his main cast will live or die at the end of the series, and he has talked about it in the past.

At Jump Festa 2019, Gege Akutami revealed two possibilities for his characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. The first possibility was that only one character from his main cast survives and all the other three die. If this possibility is true, fans can say that there is a high chance that Yuji dies. The entire story arc was geared towards saving Megumi, and Yuji will most likely see this mission through to the end. This means that Yuji could potentially lose his life trying to defeat Sukuna and save Megumi’s life in the process. This would mean that Yuji, Gojo, and Nobara would have all died, leaving Megumi as the only survivor of the group and the one to move on and inherit her will.

The second possibility is that only one character dies and three survive. This is also something that could very well happen at the end of. Jujutsu Kaisen. Fans know that anything can happen in this case. Two of the four characters are already dead, meaning that this possibility doesn’t seem too likely unless one of them is brought back. Megumi will most likely survive in this particular case, as will Yuji. Either Nobara or Gojo could be brought back to life by the author, and there’s a big chance that either of them will return. Gojo’s body was sewn back together, and he could potentially return later. Meanwhile, it’s also possible that Nobara survived and returns later. It could also be possible that both Gojo and Nobara return, and Megumi survives while Yuji dies in the end.

The possibilities are obviously endless, and all fans need to take away from this message is that having Yuji die for Gege is not out of the question. He will do anything to make sure the story is as unpredictable as possible, and killing off his main character would be a great way to achieve that.

The answer to whether Yuji Itadori will be at the end of the Jujutsu Kaisen or not is currently unclear. Fans need to keep in mind that it is very likely that Yuji dies. This is especially true for the first possibility, which seems more likely of the two. If Gege hasn’t changed his plans, one of Megumi and Yuji will die, and since everything in this arc has been focused on saving Megumi, Yuji is likely the one who will face death. Fans can only hope that the second possibility is the true outcome of the story, but anything can happen, and Yuji could very well meet his glorious end with Sukuna after successfully defeating him.
