Lamborghini presented the new Temerario super sports car last weekend at a Monterey Car Week event on the Californian coast

While the Italian car company’s leadership team stood on stage and an eagerly awaiting crowd waited, the new Lambo appeared under a black cloth, as a new video shows.

The debut took place at an event at “The Quail”, a motorsports gathering that is one of the luxury car events on the Central Coast every year.

“At Monterey Car Week, every luxury and performance car manufacturer tries to wow the world at a seemingly endless series of events along the California coast,” Forbes magazine reported. “However, the most eagerly anticipated debuts of each year usually take place at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, and this year was no different.”

The Temerario is Lamborghini’s latest addition to its line of high-performance electric vehicles. The car is the successor to the Huracán and, according to Lamborghini, can reach a top speed of over 340 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds. The engine can reach 10,000 rpm. The hybrid powertrain combines a brand new twin-turbo V8 engine with three electric motors, delivering a total output of 920 hp.

“It is an exceptional and innovative vehicle both technically and stylistically,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.
