Fenway Park Events announced Wednesday evening that the Nantucket vs. Martha’s Vineyard Island Cup football game will be played at Fenway Park on Tuesday, November 26 at 5 p.m.

This is where tickets for the game are sold and 25 percent of the proceeds from each ticket sold will benefit the schools involved in the game.

According to Fenway Park Events, Fenway Park first hosted a high school football game shortly after its opening in 1912, when cross-town rivals Boston Latin and English played their annual Thanksgiving game at the stadium. Two days later, the stadium hosted the 1912 national high school football championship game, where Everett was defeated by Oak Park, IL.

After Nantucket defeated Martha’s Vineyard 27-7 in the Island Cup on October 31, 2021, the Vineyarders have won their last two games – in 2022 they beat Nantucket on Vineyard 14-13 and in 2023 they beat Nantucket 24-21.

The Whalers’ first practice game will be at home against North Reading on Saturday, August 24th at 10:45 a.m. Their first regular season game will be at home against Cardinal Spellman on Saturday, September 7th at 11 a.m.
