Tallest man in the world finds love
Sultan Kosen, the tallest man in the world, was in the clouds when he married a woman who was almost a meter shorter than him.
The 2.5m tall gentle giant, a farmer in Turkey, had given up hope of love until he met Merve Dibo.
“Now I will have my own family and my own private life,” he said.
“It’s a pity that I couldn’t find a girl of my height. My fiancée is over 1.75 meters tall, but I think I’ve found the right person for me.”
The couple arrived for their wedding ceremony in southeastern Turkey, with the bride wearing a striking red veil and her groom wearing a matching tie.
The couple’s wedding cake certainly didn’t disappoint and towered over the bride by far.
Kosen said he struggles with his height, especially because all of his friends and family members are “normal size.”
“The children always teased me and that was very difficult for me,” he said.
“But now I’m really proud to be big.”
The 2.40 meter tall Guinness world record holder suffers from the rare disease pituitary gigantism and overshadows his fiancée with his 2.40 meters.
Kosen is one of only ten people to ever exceed the incredible height of 2.44 meters, and the first in over 10 years.
He also holds the world record for his massive 27.5 centimetre hands and his incredible 28 centimetre foot size, which has reached a massive 36.5 centimetres.
