The Challenge: Battle of the Eras continues tonight with Season 40 on MTV. The show airs starting Wednesday night, August 21st at 8 p.m. Eastern Time and continues the Era Invitational. Watch as 40 contestants from four different eras compete for hundreds of thousands of dollars in prize money.

In tonight’s second episode of the season, “The Era Invitational: Part 2,” 16 competitors take to the sand to compete, with only half returning to the competition.

The long-running reality TV competition features former contestants from various shows, including “Big Brother,” “The Real World,” “Road Rules” and many other reality series. Fan favorites Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio and Chris “CT” Tamburello, who both appeared on the last season of “The Traitors,” will compete again.
